You can see how this kind of thing might happen quite a lot in the music industry. Whenever you talk to musicians about music they always have a great band that they’re currently listening to, along with specific tracks that they take inspiration from. They are all essentially overly enthusiastic music fans themselves. So it makes sense when a new song is released that elements of it seem very similar to previous ones.
It also makes even more sense however when two tracks are so identical in style and tone that they pretty much sound like carbon copies of each other. That’s when lawsuits happen.
